Start from your peak daily intake and incoming moisture. As a rule of thumb, a dryer must handle the wettest 20 days of harvest — we model your intake curve and recommend a capacity with sensible reserve.
Yes. Mixed-flow dryers handle both crops; paddy simply runs at lower air temperatures and slower throughput to protect head-rice yield. The control system stores separate recipes per crop.
Where pipeline gas is available it is usually cheapest. For paddy sites, rice-husk biomass furnaces turn a waste product into free fuel and are increasingly the best answer as gas tariffs rise.
Not when done correctly. Seed-grade drying uses lower air temperatures and gentle handling; our dryers are used by seed companies specifically because germination is preserved.
